Sick Stroman is the remedy for the series win

I’m not sure what’s going on but everyone seems to be feeling ill as of recent. The SNY telecast mentioned that five of the Cincinnati Reds players were sent home due to illness and Marcus Stroman was clearly laboring while his time on the hill.

If you were watching the game, you surely noticed the multiple times Marcus Stroman hunched over like former New York Knicks great Patrick Ewing after running the length of the court. Personally, I thought we were all going to get to watch Stroman vomit on the mound of Great American Ball Park.

The Mets would eventually take the win over the Cincinnati Reds but on the pitching end, it would take a team effort to put the Reds down. Stroman would toss 4.2 innings while giving up two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two.

Brad Brach would eventually come in to relieve Stroman and pitched 1.1 scoreless innings while now lowering his ERA to 5.64 on the season. Edwin Diaz would also pitch a scoreless seventh inning while Justin Wilson would close out the game with New York winning 6-3 over the Reds.

The pitching would get its help early with a Robinson Canó RBI double as well as a Michael Conforto home run in the first inning, A two- run shot that would go down as Conforto’s 31st of the year. J.D. Davis would also hit a home run, a solo shot for his 20th of the season.
