MLB Season at risk

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, owners and executives would like to see the season be shortened, even if it means delaying the start to the season.

The number being kicked around is 140, or potentially even fewer. Meaning, the start of the season could actually kick off in May.

Now the reasoning for this isn’t exactly the same as the last season. It’s being said that this will give players as well as team personnel the time to be vaccinated for COVID.

However, there very well might be some push back from the players union, considering this may once again affect a player’s salary.

More news to come soon…
