MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Alvarez Hits Clutch Homerun in Cyclones Loss

Syracuse Mets (11-24)

The Syracuse Mets got clobbered 11-2 to the Worcester Red Sox. Khalil Lee hit his first homer of the year. Tovar and Jackson collected two hits.

After two straight terrific starts, Eickhoff has struggled his last two. He allowed 6 runs over 5 innings of work.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (11-23)

The Rumble Ponies lost a close one to the BaySox 8-7. Vientos hit a three run homerun, his 5th of the year. Carpio also homered as his strong June continue.

Tony Dibrell had one of his few bad outing, giving up 6 runs (5 earned) over 3 innings of work.

Brooklyn Cyclones (10-22)

The Cyclones lost 5-4 to the Renegades, besides a clutch homerun from Francisco Alvarez in the eight.

Alvarez went 2 for 4 with a 2 run homerun and a double.

Alec Kisena was solid over 5 innings of 2 run ball, striking out 8. Bryce Montes de Oca had a strigglish outing allowing 2 runs (1 earned) for the loss.

St. Lucie Mets (20-15)

The St. Lucie Mets lost to the Palm Beach Cardinals 8-6. The St. Lucie Mets scored 3 runs in the bottom of the eight to grab the lead, but gave it right back allowing 4 runs in the top of the ninth.

Shevryen Newton drove in two and Ranfy Adon collected two hits. Oscar Rojas pitched well over 5 innings of 2 run ball.
