MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Bohanek and Lasko Helps Cyclones to Win, Alex Ramirez Hits First Pro HR

Syracuse Mets (11-26)

The Syracuse Mets collapsed in the later innings, as they couldn’t hold a 6-1 lead. After allowing three runs in the seventh, the Railriders scored 7 in the eight. Final score 12-6.

Jeff McNeil and Albert Almora both collected a hit. Travis Blankenhorn drove in 4, including a first inning 3 run homerun.

Adam Bostick pitched well over 5.2 innings of two run ball, but Stephen Tarpley allowed 3 runs and Nogosek allowed 7 runs in the eight. Nogosek second straight horrendous outing, after a great start to the year.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (11-25)

The Rumble Ponies lost 9-4 to the Sea Dogs. The Ponies got two hit/one RBI days from Nick Senger, Mark Vientos, Quinn Brodey and Luis Carpio. Carlos Cortes also collected two hits.

It was one of the few bad outings of the year for Josh Walker, who allowed 5 runs over 5.2 innings of work.

Brooklyn Cyclones (11-23)

The Cyclones beat the Blue Rocks 3-1 behind Cody Bohanek and Justin Lasko.

Bohanek collected three extra base hits, going 3 for 3 with two doubles, triple and a stolen base. The left fielder is hitting .289 with a .1004 OPS.

Justin Lasko pitched extremely well over 6 innings of 1 run ball. Lasko allowed just 3 hits, without recording a walk. Brian Metoyer and Andrew Edwards closed out the low scoring affair.

St. Lucie Mets (20-17)

The St. Lucie Mets lost a close one to the Hammerheads 6-5, after Taveras allowed the walk off two run double in the bottom of the ninth.

Joe Suozzi kept hitting with another 2 for 5 game, scoring two runs. Alex Ramirez hit his first pro career homerun!

JT Ginn had another great outing allowing just one hit over 4 scoreless innings. Ginn struck out 5, lowering his ERA to 0.82. The bullpen couldn’t hold the lead allowing a combined 6 runs over 5 innings.
