MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Cyclones Win in Ginn Strong Debut

Syracuse Mets (23-46)

Syracuse struggles against the Bisons continued in a 10-6 loss. Mason Williams and Ceasar Puello both homered in the loss. Syracuse did score 3 runs in innings of Anthony Kay.

Mason Williams: 2 for 3, HR, RBI, 2BB, 3R .302avg/.808OPS

Ceasar Puello: 2 for 4, HR, 2RBI .238avg/.670OPS

Josh Walker, who went from Brooklyn to Syracuse this year, struggled in his first AAA start. He allowed 8 runs over 4.1 innings. His season ERA increased to 3.49

Josh Walker: 4.1IP, 8H, 8ER, 2BB, 3K. 16.62ERA (L, 0-1)

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (26-41)

The Rumble Ponies lost to the SeaWolves after getting a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the eight. The SeaWolves responded with 3 in the ninth to beat the Rumble Ponies 3-1. Only 4 hits for the Ponies in the loss, but Mark Vientos did homer for the 17th time this year.

Adam Oller pitched 4.2 no hit innings before leaving it to the pen. After allowing just one hit over the first eight, Hackimer allowed 3 runs in the ninth.

Allen Winans: 2.1IP, H, 0R, 0BB, 2K. 0.00ERA

Brooklyn Cyclones (26-42)

The Cyclones beat the Blue Rocks 5-4. Luis Gonzalez had another big day, collecting 3 hits and 2 RBI’s, after his four hit day yesterday.

Luis Gonzalez: 3 for 4, 2B, 2RBI, R .250avg/.681OPS

J.T. Ginn was terrific in his Cyclones debut, going 5.2 innings of one run ball. He lowered his season ERA to 2.44

JT Ginn: 5.2IP, 5H, ER, 0BB, 6K. 1.59ERA (W, 1-0)

St. Lucie Mets (37-33)

The St. Lucie Mets lost to the Maraunders 8-3. St. Lucie collected just 7 hits, but two went out of the ballpark.

Jose Peroza: 2 for 5, HR, RBI .273avg/.834OPS

Jose Colina: 1 for 2, HR, RBI .171avg/.542OPS

Franklyn Parra allowed 4 runs over 4.2 innings for the loss.

Franklyn Parra: 4.2IP, 9H, 4ER, 3BB, 2K. 5.29 ERA
