Mets fall to Marlins

In a meaningless Spring Training matchup against the Marlins, the Mets would end up losing to Miami at Clover Park, 6-1. However, let’s look at some positives from today’s contest.

Jeff McNeil went and did Jeff McNeil things as he had a multi-hit game, one of those hits being a home run to start off the Mets lineup in the bottom half of the first inning.

Noah Syndergaard struck out five batters in two innings while allowing just two hits.

Jeurys Familia pitched a perfect inning while striking a batter out.

Brad Brach and Paul Sewald each pitched a scoreless inning, as well. Brach gave up a hit and struck out one in his inning.

Infielder Max Moroff continues to hit during these exhibition games as the 26 year old went 1-1 after replacing Robinson Cano.
