Jacob deGrom could three-peat this season

By Angelina Heather Rizzo

New York Mets ace Jacob DeGrom had yet another solid start last night; here’s a look at the campaign he is on to win his third consecutive CY Young award in 2020.

On the season so far, the star pitcher is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and 1.2 WAR.

In his seven year career, DeGrom dazzles with a 68-49 record, 2.61 ERA, and a 1.049 WHIP.

DeGrom has what it takes among baseball’s hurlers to claim any pitcher’s most desired award. The Mets definitely need to give him the run support to back his ever solid starts, as the bullpen should also keep his leads safe from opposing teams’ hitters. DeGrom is ever exciting to watch, and Mets fans are lucky to have a hurler like him give quality starts.

To put things into perspective, DeGrom is not your ordinary starter. He is the best in baseball, and he looks to three peat this season. I definitely believe he will.
